The Central Government has approved an amount of fifty six thousand four hundred and fifteen crore rupees for sixteen states including Himachal Pradesh for capital investment in this financial year.
It has various sectors including health, education, irrigation, water supply, electricity, roads, bridges and railways. Its objective is to promote capital expenditure by the states.
Funds have been allocated to the states as part of the Jaljeevan Mission and Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in the schemes.
In the central budget of this financial year, special assistance was announced to the states for capital investment. In this, there is a provision to give interest-free loan of up to fifty years to the state governments for a total of one lakh thirty thousand crore rupees.
And in this way, if the government of Himachal Pradesh makes good use of capital investment in its state, then surely Himachal Pradesh will be able to establish itself as a tourist state.
