Swedish national arrested in Mumbai for molesting IndiGo cabin crew
A case of molestation with a flight attendant has come to light in an Indigo flight. After the incident, the accused was offloaded from the flight. The CISF took him into custody and handed him over to the airport police. The incident took place on a Mumbai-Bengaluru flight shortly before take-off on Tuesday.
The victim flight attendant told that while she was giving instructions to the passengers, she was molested by Raju Gangappa, a resident of Bengaluru. When the girl objected, the accused also abused her. The victim informed her senior officers about the matter. After this, the accused was taken off the flight.
According to officials, CISF personnel caught the accused Raju Gangappa and handed him over to the airport police. A case has been registered against Gangappa under section 354 of the IPC.
He was produced in the Mumbai court on Wednesday. The court sent him to one-day police remand. Mumbai Police officials said that the matter is being investigated. Indio Airlines has not commented on the incident.
