Shimla, November 17: Sukhu government of Himachal Pradesh will celebrate completion of two years in power in Bilaspur district under Hamirpur parliamentary constituency. This is the home constituency of BJP national president JP Nadda. At the same time, this is also the home parliamentary constituency of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri. Chief Minister Sukhu is an MLA from Nadaun in Hamirpur district and Deputy Chief Minister Agnihotri is an MLA from Haroli in Una district.
The Congress government led by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu will complete two years in power on December 11. On this occasion, a grand event will be organized at Kahlur Sports Complex in Bilaspur. Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and State Congress in-charge Rajiv Shukla are likely to attend this program.
Chief Minister Sukhu gave this information during a meeting with four senior Congress leaders of Bilaspur in Shimla on Sunday. The Chief Minister said that the state government has decided that the function to mark the completion of two years of the state government will be organized on December 11 at Kahlur Sports Complex in Bilaspur district, more than 25 thousand people will attend this function. The Chief Minister directed to start preparations from now to make this function a success. In Bilaspur, the four leaders assured the Chief Minister that the function to mark the completion of two years of the state government will be historic.
The Chief Minister discussed with the senior leaders the developmental projects being implemented in Bilaspur district and said that the state government will not let any kind of shortage come in the development of Bilaspur district. The senior leaders demanded the construction of Beri-Dadola bridge before the Chief Minister and said that the construction of this bridge will benefit the people of three assembly constituencies Bilaspur Sadar, Jhanduta and Ghumarwin district. He said that the approach road from both sides is already ready for building the bridge. Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that the state government will construct this bridge on priority basis and its survey will be conducted. After completion of the survey work, the state government will ensure adequate provision of funds for the construction of the bridge.
Former Minister Ram Lal Thakur raised the demand to make Swarghat a Nagar Panchayat under Shri Naina Devi Assembly Constituency. While Vivek Kumar demanded to give Nagar Panchayat status to Jhanduta under Jhanduta Assembly Constituency. The Chief Minister assured both the leaders that the state government will seriously consider their demand and every effort will be made to make both Nagar Panchayats.
The Congress leaders thanked the Chief Minister for starting M. Tech course in Electrical Engineering (Electric Vehicle Technology) in Government Hydro Engineering College, Bandla, Bilaspur. He said that the Chief Minister is personally making special efforts for the development of Bilaspur district, which is commendable. He said that due to the efforts of the state government, water sports activities have started in Gobind Sagar Lake of Bilaspur district, which will provide employment and self-employment opportunities to the local people and will bring economic prosperity in the area.
