Even on Tuesday, a lane of Shimla-Dharamshala highway was blocked by youth. However, SDM Sadar Abhishek Kumar Garg also issued a Section 1 notice to Rajankant Sharma to block the Shimla-Dharamshala highway with immediate effect. In the Section 1 notice, it was asked to block the Shimla-Dharamshala highway and also to file a reply. But Rajankant Sharma once again closed a lane on the Shimla-Dharamshala Highway on Wednesday morning by pelting vendors with stones and stoves.
Rajankant Sharma, who claimed to own the land on the Shimla-Dharamshala Highway, told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that the administration had first given him permission to set up a kiosk near Kisan Bhawan in the city, but now the administration had deliberately destroyed the kiosk. Due to which Rajankant Sharma has to occupy the land of Shimla-Dharamshala Highway in Mangrot.
Let us inform that in the month of December 2022, as per the orders of Himachal Pradesh High Court, Rajankant Sharma’s kiosk was removed from the side of Shimla-Dharamshala Highway in Mangrot. The Mangrot land dispute started after the order of Himachal Pradesh High Court. Even at that time, Rajankant Sharma had claimed that the Shimla-Dharamshala highway passes through his own land and a kiosk was put up by Rajankant Sharma on the land of Shimla-Dharamshala highway, the administration teams had to face a lot of problems in removing the kiosk.
There was no result in the entire matter, due to which a kiosk was once again set up by Rajankant Sharma on the Shimla-Dharamshala highway in the month of March. Even at that time, the kiosk was removed by Rajankant Sharma on the assurance of the spot by the administrative officials.
After that the marking process was done, in the marking process eight Biswa land of Shimla-Dharamshala Highway was found to be the personal land of Rajankant Sharma. But Rajankant Sharma could not get the highway land.
There is talk of the Himachal Pradesh Public Works Department once again carrying out the marking process, while Rajankant Sharma is continuously demanding to take back his eight Biswa land or to be given land by the administration at some other place for employment.
