On Tuesday, the President, Draupadi Murmu, first time addressed the parliament this year. The speech of the President was about the major policies to be implemented, as per listed by the government. These policies also included the Defence sector. The address made by President Draupadi Murmu after one year of the address made by Former President Mr. Ram Nath Kovind, reveals the extent of government implementations.
1st POLICY
The policy promotes the private sector and start-ups for indigenous solutions in defense and internal security. The government also developed two Defence Corridors in Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. According to the policy 25% of the defense budget, will be for developing indigenous technology.
2nd POLICY
This promotes reorganizing of Ordnance Factory Board (OFB) into the 7 Defence Sectors. This will be done by supporting the new production of entities.
3rd POLICY
This policy focuses on the development of maritime security.
4TH POLICY
This policy is for the development of the Central Sector Scheme for industrial development in Jammu & Kashmir.
5th POLICY
This focuses on reducing the districts affected by the Naxalites in the country from 126 to 70.
All these policies focus on the development of various sectors of the country by the government.
