Solan, July 11: Two accused have been arrested in a violent clash that took place near the New Bus Stand in Solan city of Himachal Pradesh last night. According to the report lodged in Sadar Police Station Solan, the complainant and his friend were getting their food packed at a dhaba near the New Bus Stand at around 10 pm when they saw some people fighting on the road in front of Modern Dhaba.

On enquiring on the spot, Sadar police found that the quarrelers included Vikas Sharma and Lakhbir Singh, who were beating Harish. During the fight, one of the accused youths took out a sword from his Brezza car and attacked Harish. Taking immediate action on this incident, the team of Sadar Police Station Solan has arrested Vikas Sharma (38) and Lakhbir Singh (33) involved in the incident.

The investigation also revealed that Vikas Sharma and Harish Sharma, real brothers, were going to Shimla from Nabha (Punjab) with their friend Lakhbir Singh. Harish Sharma was consuming alcohol while sitting in the back seat of the car, which Vikas and Lakhbir were trying to stop, but Harish was not listening.

The investigation also revealed that Vikas Sharma and Harish Sharma also had a land dispute between them. Under the influence of alcohol, Harish Sharma started arguing with his brother Vikas Sharma over a land dispute, which later turned into a fight. During this, Vikas Sharma took out a sword from his car and attacked Harish Sharma.

Solan SP Gaurav Singh confirmed that the Sadar police have taken possession of the sword and the car (number PB-11 CL-6884) used in the incident. The previous criminal record of the accused is also being investigated. He said that the investigation of the case is going on. The SP said that all aspects of the incident are being investigated closely. He has appealed to the local people to cooperate in maintaining law and order.
