Solan News : Landslide in Nalagarh sub-division of Solan district has threatened Chhabis six villages. The district administration has got the houses vacated and more than one thousand people of Chhabis village are living with their relatives and in relief camps.

Solan News : Landslide in Nalagarh sub-division of Solan district has threatened Chhabis six villages. The district administration has got the houses vacated and more than one thousand people of Chhabis village are living with their relatives and in relief camps.

There has been a loss of about five crore rupees in these villages and there have been huge cracks in the houses. A vehicle got stuck in Barutiwala last evening due to flood in the river after heavy rains. Two of them have been rescued while search is on for one woman.

Deputy Commissioner Manmohan Mohan Sharma said that heavy rains have caused a lot of damage in Parwanoo and Suraton areas as well. He said – Heavy rains have caused damage in Solan. Now what is being seen especially in some panchayats of one tehsil Kasauli, some tehsils of Badli, which is a hilly area and many villages in Ramse area of Nalagarh. The cases that are there are coming to the fore.

For example, houses in many villages, houses of many people have been broken, damaged. All these incidents have been reported in about 26 villages and about 450 people have been affected by it.

Most of the people have gone to their nearby relatives. Where there is no arrangement, we have set up relief camps. Arrangements have been made for their stay in the school.
