Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Solan, March 29: Khaki has succeeded in tracking down the accused of theft in Hanuman temple in Arki of Solan district. On March 19, the accused had stolen Hanuman idol, jewellery and cash worth Rs 2000 from the temple in Surajpur of Arki area.

In the latest information, Arki Police has arrested the accused Ashraf Ali (37), son of Akhmal, resident of Kalsi, Uttarakhand, from Zirakpur, Punjab, involved in the crime.

The accused has been produced in the court and taken on police remand for 5 days. It has been revealed that the accused was working in ITBP, from where he was dismissed. Information about criminal cases registered against the accused is being collected.

Let us tell you that fake Aadhaar card was being used by accused Ashraf Ali in the name of Sahil Rawat. The accused had also given a fake Aadhaar card to the police team, separate legal action is being taken against him. SP Gaurav Singh has confirmed.

Let us tell you that the police has also been successful in exposing a theft gang, which used to commit theft incidents in Dharampur and Subathu areas of Solan District.
