27 year old husband had strangled his wife to death
Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Solan, April 14: In less than 12 hours, Solan police has succeeded in solving the mystery of the woman’s murder. Investigation by Solan police has revealed that 27 year old Ashwani Kumar, son of Rakesh Kumar, resident of Kalin, had strangled his wife to death. The accused has also confessed to the crime during investigation.

Although the body of the deceased woman Rashmi was recovered on Saturday morning, the investigation into the incident actually started on Sunday when the family members of the deceased woman reached Solan from Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh. During inspection of the body on Sunday, it was found that there were scratch marks on the woman’s neck.

It is noteworthy that on the basis of suspicion, the police had started interrogating the accused on Sunday morning itself. After committing the crime, the accused did not try to escape.
Investigation has also revealed that before the incident, there was a fight between the husband and wife over some issue. Rashmi had to pay the price for this by losing her life. Moreover, the accused is also originally from Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh.

Superintendent of Police Gaurav Singh confirmed that the accused has been arrested. The statement of the deceased’s brother has also been recorded. The accused was being interrogated in custody, during which he also confessed to the crime.
