Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shillai(Sirmour), April 16: A very tragic incident has taken place in Shillai sub-division of Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh, in which two people died on the spot and one person was seriously injured after a pickup vehicle went out of control and rolled into a deep gorge.

According to the information received from Shillai police station in-charge, the entire accident took place at around 8 pm near the college on Naya Road in Shillai.

Two people died on the spot and one person was seriously injured after a pickup vehicle number HP 08A-5287 rolled into a 400 meter deep gorge due to brake failure.

As soon as the information about the accident was received, the teams of Shillai Police Station reached Naya Road and started the rescue operation to pull out the two deceased from the extremely deep ditch.

Also, the seriously injured person has been taken to Shillai Hospital by the police for first aid.

Both the deceased youths have been identified as Rahul, age 26, and Yogesh, age 19. And injured youth has been identified as Amit, age 24 by Shillai police station in-charge.

During the investigation of the entire incident, Shillai police station in-charge Pritam Singh Lalta told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that two people died and one person was seriously injured after the pickup rolled into a deep gorge. He has been taken to Shillai hospital. Case has been registered and is being investigated.@K1
