Sirmaur News : The festival of Rishi Panchami is being celebrated with devotion and joy in Giripar area of Sirmaur district. A lot of enthusiasm is being seen among the people regarding Rishi Panchami in Byong, Gatadhar, Dhadhar and rural areas of Giripar area.
On the eve of this day, Jagran of Mahasu Devta is organized. During this, many religious traditions are also performed by the devotees. During the puja, the devotees also pray for the happiness and prosperity of the area.
The caretakers of Mahasu Devta say that they eagerly wait for this festival. Local people said that Mahasu Maharaj is given a holy bath late in the evening on the first day and after that, Mahasu Devta is kept awake throughout the night. Whereas on the next day, There is a round of dancing and songs throughout the day and this festival is celebrated for two days in the area.
