Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Nahan, March 10:Â A truck has crushed a policeman riding a bike at Batapul Chowk under Paonta Sahib sub-division. A policeman riding a bike died on the spot in a road accident. After the accident, the truck driver fled from the spot, but the police detained the truck driver from a short distance away. It is being told that the deceased policeman was posted as a constable in Nahan Police Line these days.

According to information received from the spot, the accident occurred at around 3:00 pm on Sunday. A truck crushed a policeman riding a bike at Batapul Chowk. The accident was so severe that the policeman riding the bike died on the spot.

The deceased policeman has been identified as Anil (40), resident of Paonta Sahib. The police arrested the truck driver immediately after the accident. Further action is being taken after taking possession of the dead body.
Paonta Sahib DSP Aditya Singh confirmed that the truck driver has been taken into custody. Further action is being taken in the same matter.
