Former minister and current BJP MLA from Paonta Sahib Sukhram Chaudhary has said that the state government should provide immediate relief to the farmers affected by the rains of this monsoon.

Talking to Diary Times, he said that the standing paddy crop on about 500 bighas of land has been destroyed due to heavy rains in Paonta Sahib area, due to which the farmers have suffered huge economic losses.

He said – There has been a lot of damage to the paddy, you have suffered a lot in East Wala, Pipli Wala, Bhagwanpur. About five hundred bighas of paddy crop has been completely destroyed.

Sukhram Chowdhary said that in Himachal, for the purpose of providing relief to the people of Himachal Pradesh, the central government has so far provided financial assistance of Rs 400 crore.

He said – He is continuously urging the Central Government to give maximum help to Himachal Pradesh and so far the Center has given help of four hundred crores to Himachal Pradesh.

Now it depends on the center and the state that how they can spend that money and as the time progresses, the central government will help more.
