The atmosphere became tense in Sirmour district headquarters Nahan when the Municipal Council President, along with the councilors and BJP officials, hurriedly inaugurated the 2-storey parking of the Municipal Council here.
As soon as the Congress supported councilors came to know about the inauguration, they immediately informed the sirmour police and within about 20 minutes the inauguration plaque was removed.
It was decided to inaugurate the parking lot on 25th February by MLA Nahan. Regarding this, a letter was also issued by the Director of Urban Development Department to the City Council on 20th February.

BJP-backed Municipal Council President Shyama Pundir along with her BJP councilors inaugurated the parking lot, while after a few minutes the Congress councilors, as soon as they got wind of it, reached the spot along with the Municipal Council officials and siirmour police force and removed the inauguration plaque, terming the inauguration as unconstitutional. Congress councilors has also submitted a complaint to SP Raman Kumar Meena and demanded action.
Parking has been completed during the tenure of BJP government –
BJP-backed Municipal Council President Shyama Pundir said that during the tenure of the BJP government, this two-storey parking near Pakka Pond was completed. As soon as the Congress government came to power, a full stop was put on the budget. He said that today a two-storey parking has been formally inaugurated, in which there is arrangement for parking hundreds of vehicles.
BJP supported NPP president and councilor are acting in dictatorship –
Congress-backed councilor Rakesh Garg said that the two-storey parking of the Municipal Council is to be inaugurated by MLA Ajay Solanki on February 25. BJP Municipal Council President and Councilors are acting as dictatorial. The parking lot was opened forcefully. A complaint regarding this has been submitted to SP Sirmour.
Director Urban Development has issued a letter of inauguration on behalf of the MLA –
Executive Officer Municipal Council Nahan Sanjay Tomar said that proposals were received from BJP supported Municipal Council President Shyama Pundir along with 8 councilors and from Congress MLA Ajay Solanki for the inauguration of two storey parking of Municipal Council Nahan. He said that both the proposals were sent to the Director Urban Development Department for proper guidelines. A letter was received from there on 20th February itself, in which instructions were given that the parking is to be inaugurated on 25th February by MLA Ajay Solanki. But today Municipal Council Chairperson Shyama Pundir and BJP councilors inaugurated it. As soon as information about this was received, the plaque was removed in the presence of Sirmour police. The parking will be formally inaugurated by MLA Ajay Solanki.

Nahan Municipal Council Chairperson and BJP supported councilors have demanded an impartial investigation from Deputy Commissioner Sirmaur in the matter of removing the inauguration plaque of the parking lot. He has also demanded appropriate action against the Municipal Council Executive Officer and Congress Councilor in this matter. A delegation of BJP supported councilors complained to Deputy Commissioner Sirmaur Sumit Khimta. Nahan Municipal Council Chairperson and Ward Number One Councilor Shyama Pundir, Ward Number Three Councilor Neelam Saini, Ward Number Two Councilor Vikram Verma and other BJP supported councilors told the Deputy Commissioner through a letter that on Wednesday, Municipal Council Chairperson Shyama Under the chairmanship of Pundir, the councilors had inaugurated the Municipal Council parking near the Pakka Tank. A few minutes after the inauguration of the parking, the police removed the inauguration plaque under the leadership of Municipal Council Executive Officer Sanjay Tomar and Congress Councilor Rakesh Garg. The delegation has also demanded appropriate action against the executive officer and Congress councilor in this matter.
