Shimla, June 25: Thieves have attempted to rob a branch of Punjab National Bank adjacent to the state secretariat in Chotta Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. The entire robbery incident has been captured in the CCTV camera installed in the branch of Punjab National Bank. It is a matter of relief that the thieves could not steal any cash from the branch of Punjab National Bank.
The most surprising thing is that the entire theft incident took place just a few steps away from the Chotta Shimla Police Station. Due to which a big negligence regarding security arrangements has come to light in the Chotta Shimla Police area. Rajesh Bhatia, manager of Chotta Shimla branch of Punjab National Bank, while registering a complaint with the Chotta Shimla Police Station in-charge, told that the attempt of theft by thieves in the Chhota Shimla branch of Punjab National Bank at 2:43 am on June 22 has been captured in the CCTV camera installed in the branch itself.

The thieves tried their best to enter the Chotta Shimla branch of Punjab National Bank through the doors and windows. But, the group of thieves could not succeed in their plan to enter the PNB Chotta Shimla branch.
The Chotta Shimla police station in-charge has started the process of arresting the group of thieves by scanning the CCTV cameras installed in the Chotta Shimla branch of Punjab National Bank.
It is worth noting that due to the presence of the state secretariat in the entire Chotta Shimla police station, high tech VVIP security is available round the clock. Along with the Chotta Shimla police, security staff of the state secretariat as well as black commando guards are also deployed. In such a situation, the entire incident of the group of thieves breaking such a tight security system and attempting theft in the most posh area is raising many questions about the big lapse in the police administration and security system.
Shimla District Police Administration Superintendent Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi said that on the complaint of the bank manager of the Chotta Shimla branch of Punjab National Bank, the Chotta Shimla police station in-charge has registered an FIR under Section 457, 380 and 511 of the IPC and the investigation of the entire theft case has been started after scanning the CCTV cameras.
