Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Rampur, April 03: Three leopards were found dead in Rampur Bushahr, Himachal Pradesh on March 8. The nails of one of the leopards were also missing. After which the Forest Department sent the leopard dead bodies for post-mortem. A shocking thing has come to light in the post mortem report. All three leopards died from organophosphorus pesticide, which is used to kill insects and also on crops. At present the police have registered the case and started investigation.

In fact, on the morning of March 8, a villager in Jaguni village of Dansa Panchayat had seen a leopard lying in an unconscious state near the village, after which he gave this information to other villagers also. At some distance the villagers found two more leopards in the same condition. After this the villagers informed the forest department and police. There were no wound marks on leopards body, which indicated that his death was not due to hunting.

However, 7 nails of one leopard were missing. After which now according to the post mortem report, all three leopards died due to organophosphorus pesticide, which is used to kill insects and also in crops. At present, after the post mortem report has come, the Forest Department has also given its report to the police station Rampur.
On the other hand, SHO Rampur Jaidev Singh said that a case has been registered after the post mortem report came out. He told that in this regard the police team will go to the spot and start investigation.
