Shocking murder in Mandi: Husband attacked wife, mother-in-law, father-in-law and two and half year old son with a sharp knife, everyone is in critical condition
Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Mandi, June 15 :A heartbreaking case has come to light in which a man brutally attacked his wife, son and in-laws with a knife under Dharmpur police station of Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh.
The accused was so vicious that he attacked the son’s neck with a sharp knife and threw the child down from the second floor, due to which the child has been referred to PGI in critical condition.Also, the seriously injured wife and mother-in-law and father-in-law have been admitted to Hamirpur Medical College in critical condition.
The entire incident took place in Bhur Panchayat of Sandhol on last Friday.
The Dharmpur police station in-charge has arrested the main accused Bharat Pathania and started investigation of the entire case.The Dharmpur police station in-charge said that the main accused Bharat Pathania, a resident of Kot Panchayat, was married to Sushma Devi of Bhur Panchayat 4 years ago.
Sushma Devi’s father Hemraj told the Dharmpur police station in-charge that since the marriage, his son-in-law Bharat Pathania was harassing and exploiting his daughter Sushma Devi every day. Due to which his daughter Sushma Devi was living in her maternal home for the last two years.
Hemraj said that last Friday, his daughter Sushma Devi’s in-laws had come to his house to make a compromise, then in the afternoon his son-in-law Bharat Pathania also suddenly came to his house and locked his daughter Sushma Devi and wife Kalavati in the room.
After that, his son-in-law Bharat Pathania attacked his daughter Sushma Devi and wife Kalavati on their necks with a sharp knife and when Hemraj himself came to intervene, son-in-law Bharat Pathania also attacked his father-in-law Hemraj with a sharp knife and after attacking all three, the accused son-in-law Bharat Pathania also attacked his two and a half year old son on his neck with a sharp knife and fled after throwing him down from the second floor.
DSP Sarkaghat Sanjeev Kumar Gautam said that after carrying out the entire incident, the main accused son-in-law Bharat Pathania hid in the neighbours’ cowshed, who was arrested by the Dharampur police station in-charge and his team last Friday.
Sanjeev Kumar Gautam also said that the knife used by accused son-in-law Bharat Pathania in the fierce attack has not been recovered yet.
Sanjeev Kumar Gautam said that the condition of the son undergoing treatment in PGI is now said to be critical.
He said that after presenting the main accused son-in-law Bharat Pathania in the court on Saturday, he was taken on police remand and investigation and interrogation of the entire case has been started.
