Shimla, June 20: In Himachal Pradesh’s capital Shimla, a man was doing obscene acts with minor girls who came to his shop to buy goods.
The accused’s dark act with minor girls was exposed when a girl gave complete information about this to the school management. The school management committee conducted an investigation at its own level and then lodged a complaint against the accused with Shimla Police.
Shimla Police has registered an FIR against the accused shopkeeper under the POCSO Act. But the accused has absconded. Shimla Police is conducting raids at various places in search of the accused. The entire case has been registered in the Chaupal police station area of ​​​​Shimla district.
Chaupal police station in-charge said that the accused used to run a shop near a school in Chaupal area and the girls studying in class 7th to 11th often went to the accused’s shop to buy things, then the accused used to forcefully do obscene acts with them.
When a girl student brought the whole matter to the notice of a teacher of the school, the school management called an emergency meeting of the Anti Sexual Harassment Committee and started an investigation into the matter.
In the investigation of the Anti Sexual Harassment Committee, the accused shopkeeper was found to be molesting and doing obscene acts with the school girls. After this, the school management lodged a complaint about the whole matter to the Chaupal police station in-charge.
The Chaupal police station in-charge has registered a case against the accused under the POCSO Act.
After the entire matter came to light, the accused has absconded.
The Chaupal police station in-charge said that efforts are being made to arrest the accused.
