Shimla – Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh has today taken over as General Officer Commanding in Chief under the Army Training Command in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh.

According to a notification issued by the Army Training Command, Lieutenant General Officer Manjinder Singh was the first to retain command of his battalion in Jammu and Kashmir, India, despite the complete insurgency and hostile environment. On the other hand, Lieutenant General Officer Manjinder Singh has also worked as a trainer in the Military Training Academy, Dehradun as well as in the Indian Military Training Team based in Bhutan.

Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh took charge as General Officer Commanding in Chief of the Army Training Command in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh.

Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh has taken charge as the twenty-fourth General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Army Training Command, Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, on Friday.

Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh is an alumnus of Sainik School Kapurthala, National Defense Academy, Khadakwasla as well as Indian Military Academy, Dehradun.

In a statement issued by the Indian Army, it has been said that Lieutenant General Officer Manjinder Singh had brilliantly maintained the command of his army battalion in the environment of increasing militancy and opposition in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. On the other hand, Lieutenant General Officer Manjinder Singh has served as an instructor in the Military Academy Dehradun as well as in the Indian Military Training Group Bhutan.

Apart from this, Lieutenant General Officer Manjinder Singh has also served as Deputy Chief of Army Staff of Integrated Defense Staff (Perspective, Planning and Naval and Airborne Development).

Due to which Lieutenant General Officer Manjinder Singh has been awarded the Indian Army’s War Service Medal in 2015 and also the Indian Army’s Vishisht Seva Medal in 2019.

Also, Lieutenant General Officer Manjinder Singh, on assuming the charge of General Officer Commanding in Chief, Indian Army Training Command, congratulated all the Category A Training Establishments, Brave women, all ex-servicemen of the Indian Army, all Civil Defense personnel as well as their families. Apart from this, Lieutenant General Officer Manjinder Singh has also sent his warm wishes and congratulations to all ranks of the Indian Army Training Command.
