A major accident was averted when a Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus went out of control and suddenly overturned on the road after brake failure early Thursday morning in Munish Panchayat of Rampur development block of Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. Two passengers have been seriously injured due to the sudden overturning of HRTC bus. Due to the failure of the brakes of the HRTC bus, it was fortunate that the HRTC bus did not fall into a deep ditch, otherwise there was a strong possibility of a major accident.

As soon as the information was received about the brake failure of the HRTC bus and overturning, with immediate effect all the teams of Shimla District Police Administration and emergency ambulance had left for Munish Panchayat, on the spot. According to the complete information received from Shimla District Police Administration, at around 8 in the morning, an HRTC bus going towards Rampur, Shimla, lost control and overturned due to brake failure at a distance of about two hundred meters from Munish Panchayat and overturned on the road.
