The Himachal Pradesh government will soon provide disaster relief funds to all the forty-five families rendered homeless due to the heart-wrenching rains, landslides and floods in Himachal Pradesh to build permanent houses.
Shimla District Administration of Himachal Pradesh has sanctioned Rs 67.54 lakh for complete financial assistance to the people of all forty-five homeless families.
Now after getting the approval, the Himachal Pradesh government will soon send the disaster relief amount to the accounts of all the forty-five beneficiaries.
With the receipt of disaster relief funds from the Himachal Pradesh Government, all forty-five beneficiaries will be able to start construction of their pucca houses afresh.
This amount and its money will be provided to all the forty-five beneficiaries under the Swarn Jayanti Ashraya Yojana of Himachal Pradesh Government.
Due to the devastating rains, landslides and floods in Himachal Pradesh, about forty-five poor families in all the local sub-divisions of Shimla district were rendered homeless due to the collapse of their houses.
Due to which all the homeless families had expressed the hope of Shimla district administration to construct permanent houses.
Shimla District Welfare Officer KR Chauhan told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that after the rains in the entire Himachal Pradesh and in Shimla district, survey reports were sought from the tehsil welfare officers of all the local sub-divisions and all their development blocks.
In the survey of Tehsil Welfare Officers of all the local sub-divisions and all their development blocks of Shimla district, forty-five such homeless families have been identified whose entire houses were completely washed away in the floods.
After the survey of all the tehsil welfare officers, the demands of all the forty-five beneficiaries were sent to Shimla district administration. Due to which now after getting the approval, all the beneficiaries will be given the benefit of Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Home Swarnjayanti Ashray Yojana.
Shimla District Welfare Officer KR Chauhan told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that the benefits of Griha Swarna Jayanti Ashray Yojana are extended to all people of all Scheduled Caste (SC) categories. Under which, an amount of one lakh fifty thousand rupees is provided in three installments by Himachal Pradesh Government and Shimla District Administration.
Approval to build maximum number of houses in Chaupal of Shimla district received –
Under Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Home Swarnjayanti Ashray Yojana, maximum approval for new houses has been given to Chaupal tehsil of Shimla district.
Fifteen houses under Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Swarnjayanti Ashray Yojana in Chaupal tehsil, one house each in Shimla district rural and Theog, eight houses in Rampur, seven houses in Nankhadi, five houses in Rohru tehsils, two houses each under Kotkhai and Kumarsen. Approval for construction of two houses and four new houses in Sunni has been given Approval by the Government of Himachal Pradesh.
