In a program organized by the Indian Industrialists Association in Shimla today, he said that along with development, everyone should work together towards environmental protection.
He said that there are many challenges including grade integration, technological progress and community engagement in realizing the vision of becoming a green and clean energy hub. The Governor said that Himachal has abundant resources including rivers, forests and mountains.
Natural resources are available which offer immense potential for renewable energy production. He said that exploitation of solar and green energy will not only lead to economic development but will also create employment opportunities.
Shivpratap Shukla said that the state government has taken many steps to promote green energy and energy in the state.
