CM Sukhu announced to upgrade Theog Hospital to district level hospital.(Diary Times Archives)
Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, March 16:Â Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced upgradation of Theog Hospital in Shimla district to district level hospital to provide better health services to the people of the area. The Chief Minister also inaugurated the newly constructed buildings of Government Senior Secondary School, Theog and Mohri in Theog sub-division.
Addressing a public meeting at Nehru Maidan in Theog on Friday, CM Sukhu said that the state government is making every possible effort to deal with the biggest challenge of economic crisis in the state. Various welfare schemes have been launched with the aim of meeting the aspirations of the people of the state. He said that during the natural disaster last year, the State Government ensured that the apple growers of Shimla district got better prices for their produce and by making an unprecedented increase in the Minimum Support Price, apples were purchased from the orchardists on per kilogram basis. From this year, the state government will ensure provision of universal carton for apples.

The Chief Minister said that the state government has ensured the upliftment of all sections by taking many welfare decisions. With the aim of increasing the income of cattle farmers, it has been decided to increase the minimum support price for the purchase of cow and buffalo milk.
Theog assembly constituency MLA Kuldeep Rathore welcomed the Chief Minister and gave detailed information about the developmental projects being carried out by the state government in the area.

On this occasion, Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh, Himachal Pradesh Cooperative Bank Chairman Devendra Shyam, State Forest Corporation Chairman Kehar Singh Khachi, Block Congress Committee Chairman Narendra Kanwar were present.
