Honorable Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Monday presided over the meeting of MLAs of Solan, Chamba, Bilaspur and Lahaul-Spiti districts in the second session of the first day organized on Annual Plan 2024-25 MLA Priorities.

CM Sukhu said that the present Congress government is committed to provide clean, transparent and accountable administration to the people of Himachal Pradesh and is going to implement a new policy of zero tolerance towards corruption.

CM Sukhu said that the Himachal Pradesh government is also considering bringing a new law to bring transparency in the government system and crack down on corruption.

CM Sukhu said that the Himachal Pradesh government is working diligently to effectively resolve public grievances and provide efficient administration and important work is also being done to achieve all the goals through system transformation.

CM Sukhu said that along with curbing all drug smugglers and mining mafias, the Himachal Pradesh government is also making plans on priority basis to provide shelter to destitute animals.

CM Sukhu said that the priorities of the MLAs are discussed before the budget so that the views and all the suggestions of the MLAs towards developmental works can be incorporated in the budget.

CM Sukhu said that this year the format of MLA priority has also been completely changed and all the MLAs can easily give their suggestions to the Himachal Pradesh government to make Himachal Pradesh self-reliant.

CM Sukhu said that the Himachal Pradesh government has accelerated all the development works in one year and has set an important target of making Himachal Pradesh a green energy state by March 31, 2026.

CM Sukhu said that to reduce dependence on diesel and petrol vehicles, e-vehicles are being encouraged in Himachal Pradesh and all necessary infrastructure is also being prepared to encourage e-vehicles.

Priorities of all the MLAs of Solan district of Himachal Pradesh –

KL Thakur, MLA from Nalagarh assembly constituency of Solan district, has stressed the need to crack down on drug mafia and mining mafia in the border area of Nalagarh. KL Thakur, MLA from Nalagarh assembly constituency, has also praised the better work of the Himachal Pradesh government during the heart-wrenching natural disaster in Himachal Pradesh. Nalagarh MLA KL Thakur has urged CM Sukhu to get the Dabhota bridge damaged during the natural disaster rebuilt as soon as possible.

Kasauli assembly constituency MLA Vinod Sultanpuri has demanded to connect Parwanoo and Kamli industrial area with the National Highway, construct a flyover at Taksal railway gate and prepare the detailed project report of Kaushalya Dam soon. Kasauli MLA Vinod Sultanpuri has also urged CM Sukhu to take up the entire issue of running theme based trains on the world famous Shimla-Kalka railway track with the Railways.

All the MLAs of Chamba district placed important priorities before CM Sukhu –

Dr. Hansraj, MLA of Churah assembly constituency of Chamba district, has demanded to transfer the offices of some departments of Himachal Pradesh government to other areas of Himachal Pradesh to reduce the population pressure in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh.

Churah MLA Dr. Hansraj has demanded to rehabilitate the house owners displaced due to all the power projects in Churah area and provide permanent jobs to their family members.

Bharmour Assembly constituency MLA Dr. Janak Raj has demanded to increase the number of ambulances in Bharmour area to 108 and fill all the vacant posts in Himachal Pradesh Education Department as soon as possible.

Bharmour MLA Dr. Janak Raj said that Manimahesh Yatra is organized from Janmashtami to Radha Ashtami, which should be extended for five more days so that local residents should also get employment through Manimahesh Yatra.

Bharmour MLA Dr Janak Raj has also demanded from CM Sukhu to open the office of Wool Federation in Bharmour.

Chamba MLA Neeraj Nayyar has demanded from CM Sukhu to build Chamba-Chuwadi tunnel. Chamba MLA Neeraj Nayyar has expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu for providing Rs 165 crore for Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Chamba and Rs 13 crore for the construction of heliport in Chamba district. Chamba MLA Neeraj Nayyar has also urged CM Sukhu to solve the serious problem of parking in Chamba city as soon as possible.

Dalhousie assembly constituency MLA DS Thakur has demanded to fill the vacant posts of doctors and para medical staff to improve health facilities in his constituency Dalhousie. Dalhousie MLA DS Thakur has demanded from CM Sukhu to provide adequate funds to repair drinking water schemes in Dalhousie area, start HRTC bus service from Saloni to Tanda and build a new bus stand in Dalhousie.

Major priorities of all MLAs of Bilaspur district before CM Sukhu –

Jheet Ram Katwal, MLA of Jhanduta assembly constituency of Bilaspur district, has urged CM Sukhu to expedite the preparation of detailed project report of three bridges pending in his constituency.

Jhanduta MLA Jeet Ram Katwal has demanded adequate funds for the under construction Community Health Center Talai and Civil Hospital Barthin and to solve the problem of low voltage in Jhanduta area.

Bilaspur Sadar Assembly constituency MLA Trilok Jamwal has demanded from CM Sukhu to promote tourism activities in Bilaspur district and solve the serious problem of low voltage. Sadar MLA Trilok Jamwal has requested to start a comprehensive awareness campaign to eliminate the problem of drug addiction.

Shri Nayana Devi Assembly Constituency MLA Randhir Sharma has demanded to expedite the entire matters of FCA and FRA so that the development work is not affected.

Shri Nayana Devi MLA Randhir Sharma has demanded from CM Sukhu to fill the posts of field staff in Jal Shakti Department in Himachal Pradesh and restart the service on the old bus route of Swarghat-Bilaspur for the convenience of the local people.

Major priorities of all the MLAs of Lahaul-Spiti district before CM Sukhu –

Lahaul-Spiti assembly constituency MLA Ravi Thakur has demanded from CM Sukhu to include Rural Development Department and Panchayati Raj Department at the district level. Lahaul-Spiti MLA Ravi Thakur has also suggested to CM Sukhu for cultivation and marketing of medicinal plants in Himachal Pradesh. Ravi Thakur demanded repair of Shanti Stupas in Lahaul-Spiti district so that tourism can be promoted in Lahaul-Spiti district.
