A fire broke out in a six-room house in Krayali Gram Panchayat located in Chiyog on the road to Fagu adjoining Theog sub-division of Shimla district, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, on Saturday night at 7 pm. The entire six-room house was burnt to ashes.
Dinesh Jagta, head of Krayali Gram Panchayat, told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that after receiving information about the fire in a house consisting of six rooms, the villagers had immediately informed the fire department, but Krayali Gram Panchayat was not connected by road. Due to Krayali Gram Panchayat absence, all the vehicles of the fire department were facing huge problems and difficulties in reaching there. Due to which the fire department vehicle sent from the capital Shimla could not reach the spot.
Krayali Gram Panchayat head Dinesh Jagta has demanded the release of compensation amount from the Himachal Pradesh government to the victim’s family from Theog administration and Shimla district administration headquarters.
Due to fire in a six-room house of Krayali Gram Panchayat, the entire six-room wooden house of the landlord Narayan Thakur has been burnt to ashes.
Landlord Narayan Thakur said that the six-room house was lying vacant before the fire completely engulfed it.

On the other hand, Krayali Gram Panchayat former Zilla Parishad member Sohan Thakur told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that the fire department of the capital Shimla district had to face difficulties in extinguishing the fire due to the absence of a small fire extinguishing vehicle.
The big vehicle of the fire department of the capital Shimla could not reach the spot due to Krayali Gram Panchayat not being connected by road.
Krayali Gram Panchayat member Meera Dhiman told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that water problem is a big issue in the entire Krayali Gram Panchayat. Due to which all the water tanks of Krayali Gram Panchayat were lying empty.
The people of Krayali Gram Panchayat made every effort to extinguish the entire fire, but due to the fierce enlargement of the flames, the entire fire could not be controlled in any way.
