Shimla, June 27: For the last few months, people living in Himachal Pradesh’s capital Shimla are facing a severe water crisis.Due to dry water projects, the people of the capital Shimla have not been supplied water for a week, But with the onset of pre-monsoon rains, water supply is slowly being restored in many areas.

Municipal Corporation Shimla is providing clean drinking water to the people of Shimla city at an interval of three days. Due to which people of far-flung areas have started getting great relief because in the last two months, the people of the capital Shimla have had to face the most problems due to the severe water crisis.
Deputy Mayor of Shimla Municipal Corporation Uma Kaushal said that with the onset of pre-monsoon rains, now the water supply in Shimla city is being done at the full 45 MLD. The endeavour of Shimla Municipal Corporation and Jal Prabandhan Nigam is to ensure water supply in all areas of the city at an interval of every three days.
Uma Kaushal said that during heavy monsoon rains, siltation in the pipes is also a big problem due to which the supply of clean drinking water in many areas of the city comes under threat.
She said that Shimla Municipal Corporation is making every possible effort to deal with the big problem of siltation in the pipes during rains.
The effort of Shimla Municipal Corporation and Water Management Corporation is to ensure water supply in all the areas of Shimla city at an interval of every three days so that people do not have to face any problem.
