Shimla, June 18: A heartbreaking case of murder of the mother of three girls in broad daylight has come to light in Kupvi police station area of Chaupal subdivision of Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh.While lodging a complaint with the Kupvi Police Station In-charge, the father of the deceased woman has made serious allegations against the in-laws of murdering his daughter due to not having a son.
On the basis of the complaint of the father of the deceased woman, the Kupvi police in-charge has registered a case of murder against the husband of the deceased woman as well as other members of the in-laws’ side and started investigation.
Giving information about the whole case, Kupvi police in-charge said that the deceased woman Kamlesh, aged 27, had her maternal home in Sangrah of Sirmaur district and Kamlesh was married to Deep Ram, a resident of Tandai of Kupvi tehsil.
After three weeks of Kamlesh’s death under suspicious circumstances, his father lodged an FIR with the Kupvi Police Station in-charge against his in-laws for murdering Kamlesh.
In the complaint lodged with the Kupvi Police Station in-charge by the father of the deceased woman Kamlesh, Hirda Ram, resident of Kamnadi Tehsil Sangrah, it has been said that after marriage, when his daughter Kamlesh gave birth to three daughters, her husband Deep Ram, father-in-law, brother-in-law and sister-in-law started taunting Kamlesh and harassing her mentally. Due to this, Kamlesh often used to come to her maternal home with her three daughters and she became mentally depressed.
Hirda Ram told that in April 2024, Kamlesh stayed at her maternal home for two months and on 24th of May, Deep Ram came to Kamlesh’s maternal home with his father and brother. Then the in-laws persuaded his daughter Kamlesh and brought her back to their in-laws’ house and two days later on 26th May, it was told that his daughter Kamlesh had died suddenly. Hirda Ram made serious allegations against the members of the in-laws’ family and said that Kamlesh’s husband Deep Ram and his family members had murdered his daughter Kamlesh and her body was thrown in the forest.
Taking the entire matter seriously, Kupvi Police Station in-charge has registered a case against deceased Kamlesh’s husband Deep Ram and his family members on the basis of complaint by Kamlesh’s father Hirda Ram under Indian Penal Code section 302 and 34.
The Kupvi police station in-charge said that the entire case has been registered and investigation has been started. The Kupvi police has started a thorough investigation of all aspects. No accused has been arrested in the entire case so far.
