Giving information about the whole case, Kupvi police in-charge said that the deceased woman Kamlesh, aged 27, had her maternal home in Sangrah of Sirmaur district and Kamlesh was married to Deep Ram, a resident of Tandai of Kupvi tehsil.

After three weeks of Kamlesh’s death under suspicious circumstances, his father lodged an FIR with the Kupvi Police Station in-charge against his in-laws for murdering Kamlesh.

In the complaint lodged with the Kupvi Police Station in-charge by the father of the deceased woman Kamlesh, Hirda Ram, resident of Kamnadi Tehsil Sangrah, it has been said that after marriage, when his daughter Kamlesh gave birth to three daughters, her husband Deep Ram, father-in-law, brother-in-law and sister-in-law started taunting Kamlesh and harassing her mentally.
