Dozens of candidates spent Friday night outside the State Secretariat demanding the release of exam results for JOA (Junior Office Assistant) IT recruitment. Many youth have been sitting overnight at Chhota Shimla bus stop without any shelter amid the harsh cold.

Angered by the lack of clarity regarding the JOA IT recruitment exam results in the cabinet meeting on Friday, all the candidates have now decided to hold an indefinite protest.

Candidates termed the formation of the Cabinet Sub Committee as inadequate and demanded that conditional appointments be given as per the instructions of the Himachal High Court.

All the candidates said that they did not approve of the formation of the cabinet sub-committee. Candidates said that they are repeatedly coming to Shimla and telling their demands to the Himachal government, but they are not getting anything except assurance.

Earlier too, Chief Minister Sukhu had said that the result of JOA Post Code-817 would be declared soon, but the assurance of CM Sukhu has also not been implemented. All the candidates say that they are demanding their rights from the Himachal government, not begging.

After the cabinet meeting ended on Friday, Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh had come to meet all the candidates.

Vikramaditya Singh has made every effort to convince all the candidates.Vikramaditya Singh said that he has raised the JOA post code-817 recruitment issue several times in the cabinet meeting also.
