Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, March 07: Himachal Pradesh Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri on Thursday announced the release of 4 percent daily allowance for the employees of Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) with immediate effect. The Deputy CM has also instructed Rohan Chand Thakur, Managing Director of Himachal Road Transport Corporation, to implement the announcement of releasing 4 percent daily allowance before the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct. The announcement of release of 4 percent daily allowance has been Announced by Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri during the launch of various services of Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) at the Old Bus Stand.

While inaugurating the cashless ticketing system of Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation, Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri said that at present the facility of cashless ticketing system is going to be available in three districts of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla, Hamirpur and Una and soon the facility of cashless ticketing system will be available in entire Himachal Pradesh. Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri said that an agreement has been signed between Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation and State Bank of India to facilitate cashless ticketing system. Under the facility of cashless ticketing system, now passengers can buy tickets by paying in HRTC buses through credit card, debit card or UPI. Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri said that now the passengers will get relief from the problem of change money in HRTC bus to pay the fare and the disputes between the passengers and the conductor regarding the change of money will also get rid of.

Shuttle bus service started for Jubbarhatti Airport –

Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri has launched shuttle bus service from Old Bus Stand Shimla to Jubbarhatti Airport. The facility of shuttle bus service has been started by Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation in collaboration with the Tourism and Civil Aviation Department. The fare for this shuttle bus service is Rs. 200 per passenger. The first journey of this shuttle bus will start from Old Bus Stand Shimla at 6:30 am and will reach Jubbarhatti Airport at 7:30 am and will leave from Jubbarhatti Airport at 8:30 am and reach Old Bus Stand Shimla at 9:15 am. Similarly, the second journey this shuttle bus will start from Old Bus Stand Shimla at 10:45 am and reach Jubbarhatti Airport at 11:45 am and will leave from Jubbarhatti Airport at 12 noon and reach Old Bus Stand Shimla at 01:00 pm.

Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation is going to consider running additional shuttle bus service as the number of flights increases. The time table can be changed according to the arrival and departure time of flights at Jubbarhatti Airport, details of time table will be available on the official website of Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation www.hrtchp.com. Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri said that the facility of shuttle bus service is a part of the commitment under which the Himachal Pradesh government had said that bus facility will be provided to temples, hospitals and airports.

Online bus pass facility also started –

Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri also launched the online bus pass facility for college students of the state. On this occasion, Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri has also generated online bus passes of two college students. Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri said that now college students will not need to stand in line to get HRTC bus pass. Deputy CM said that college students will now be able to apply for bus pass online from anywhere and After applying, the college will have to verify and confirm the details of the students online, after which the online pass will be issued to the students by Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation.

The Online bus pass will be available on the mobile phones of the college students, which will be checked by the staff of Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation and college students will be provided travel facilities. The bus pass facility is going to be available to the college students as well as their college teachers.

Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri said that Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation is continuously improving its services and in this context, a new online bus pass facility has been started today.

HRTC bus service for Ayodhya will also start from Una and Shimla –

Referring to the HRTC bus facility for Ayodhya, Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri said that Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation has signed an agreement with the Uttar Pradesh government, under which permits for three buses have been obtained. Last day, HRTC bus service has been started from Hamirpur and one HRTC bus from Una and one HRTC bus from Shimla will also run to Ayodhya. Considering the response of the people towards these HRTC buses, further work will be done for more permits.

Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri said that Ayodhya Darshan service has been started and continuous efforts are being made for its branding.

Managing Director of Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) Rohan Chand Thakur, Director Tourism and Civil Aviation Department Mansi Sahay Thakur and other officers and employees of Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation were also present on this inaugural occasion.
