Shimla, October 30: An incident of rape of a girl on the pretext of marriage has come to light in Himachal Pradesh. The person whom the girl has accused of rape was her classmate. The girl says that the accused physically exploited her for three years and later refused to marry her. The victim has also alleged that the accused is having an affair with another girl. On the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case against the accused and started investigation. The case is from Dhali police station area of Shimla city.

According to the complaint given by the 21-year-old victim, she used to talk occasionally with Tushar, who studied with her. In the year 2021, both of them started talking to each other through WhatsApp calls and Tushar promised to marry her. From October 2021, Tushar started physically exploiting her under the guise of marriage. In December 2023, Tushar reduced his communication and started making excuses to avoid meeting her. In April 2024, Tushar again increased contact with her and sexually exploited her. But after this, Tushar again refused to marry her.

According to the victim, Tushar also has relations with another girl. The victim alleges that Tushar has raped her several times on the pretext of marriage. On the complaint of the victim, Dhali police has registered an FIR against the accused under section 69 of BNS and action is being taken.
