Shimla – Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu Inaugurated the Historic Bantony Castle Complex to the General Public
Shimla News-The historic Bantony Castle located at Mall Road in the state capital Shimla has been opened for the general public.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu dedicated the historic Bantony Castle to the general public last evening.
He said that the Bantony Castle complex is a witness to the rich heritage of Shimla and gives a glimpse of the rich history of Shyamala alias Shimla, which was the summer capital.
There are three historical buildings in this complex, on the restoration of which an amount of twenty-five crore rupees has been spent.
Twenty thousand The Bantony Castle complex, spread over 100 square meters, presents an excellent example of Anglo Gothic architecture.
He expressed the hope that the Bantony Castle complex will become a major center of attraction for tourists and local people.
Mahatma Gandhi’s visits to Shimla, detailed biographies of the state’s first Chief Minister Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar and Satyanand Stocks and the glorious history of Shimla city are being displayed in the Bantony Castle complex through a collage light and sound show.
On this occasion, Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, Several Cabinet Ministers and the Chief Secretary were also present.
