Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Una, March 29: There was a landslide from the hill yesterday afternoon in Kahu drain adjacent to Jagatsukh village of Manali, a tourist town in Kullu district. Four persons were affected by the landslide. Out of which three were safe and the driver of one JCB was buried. In such a situation, now on Friday the police team has recovered the body of the driver buried in snow. The police have taken the body into their custody and have sent it for post-mortem. After completing the post-mortem process, the body will be handed over to the relatives.

DSP Manali KD Sharma said that excavation was being done through JCB for the project work in Kahu drain. In such a situation, suddenly there was an avalanche from the hill and JCB driver Rajesh Kumar got trapped in it. The remaining three people remained safe. Manali Police had started the rescue work from Thursday itself and now on Friday, the rescue team and the police team together took out the body from the snow. Further action is being taken by the police in this matter. After completing the post-mortem process, everything will be handed over to the family members. The company management is also being interrogated by the police in this regard.
