General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, Champat Rai, confirmed the placement of Lord Ram’s idol at the ‘Garbh Griha’ on January 18, with the auspicious Pran Pratishtha scheduled for 12:20 pm on January 22. The muhurat for this significant event was carefully determined by Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid of Varanasi.
Unlocking the Seven-Day Schedule –
January 16: Temple trust’s appointed host kicks off with atonement ceremony – ‘Dashvidh’ bath, Vishnu worship, and offerings to cows along the Saryu River.
January 17: Idol of Lord Ram (Ram Lalla) to be carried in a procession to Ayodhya, accompanied by devotees bearing Mangal Kalash filled with sacred Saryu water on the way to the Ram Janmabhoomi temple.
January 18: Commencing with reverence, formal rituals include Ganesh Ambika puja, Varun puja, Matrika puja, Brahmin Varan, and Vastu puja.
January 19: Igniting the holy fire, followed by the consecration of ‘Navagraha’ and ‘havan’ rituals.
January 20: Sanctum sanctorum purification with Saryu River water, followed by Vaastu and Annadhivas rituals.
January 21: Bathing the idol with water from 125 urns in a sacred ceremony.
January 22: Morning puja, consecration of Ram Lalla deity, and concluding with an uplifting ‘aarti’ ceremony.
