Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh has said that about 300 roads have been affected in the state due to the heavy rains during the last 24 hours.

He said that out of these one hundred and eighty roads would be restored by today evening while fifteen roads would be restored by tomorrow. Apart from this, the remaining blocked roads will be opened for vehicular movement in the next two days.

Talking to reporters in Shimla, Vikramaditya Singh said that the department has suffered a loss of about twenty-seven and a half crore rupees across the state due to the heavy year. Outbreak of Monsoons has started inside the state and this yellow alert has been issued.

But still, our department is fully aware, an eye has been made and today there are about 301 roads inside the state, which are still closed, out of which, as I said, 180 roads will be restored by this evening. In the entire state, fifteen more will be restored by tomorrow and the remaining one hundred and six will be restored within two-three days.

Total including three hundred and ninety, the machinery of our department is working on this within the entire state and we have also issued a WhatsApp number on this, which will be done by this evening and we will also give feedback to the people of the entire state. We will ask whether there is any shortage where muscle is being felt, we will fulfill it, then we are trying for that.

As of now, it is estimated that the state has suffered a loss of about twenty-seven crore rupees. The Public Works Minister said that the construction of the wallybridge has been completed in Chhok at the place which was obstructed due to collapse last week. The movement of vehicles will be started from the bridge. He said that the Public Works Department has been instructed to complete the thong bypass work by the end of the month so that there is no problem during the safe season.
