Petrol tankers passing through Kangra Bypass were stopped midway by the protesters. As soon as petrol tankers started passing in large numbers on Kangra bypass, the petrol tankers were stopped and blocked by youths riding on vehicles. As soon as information about the entire matter of petrol tankers being stopped at Kangra Bypass was received, Kangra District Police Administration teams reached the spot and after a heavy argument with the protesters, the petrol tankers were sent from Kangra Bypass.

Petrol tankers dispatched from Kangra bypass were again stopped at Ghurkadi by the agitators. Due to stopping of petrol tankers, there was a long traffic jam in Ghurkadi for an hour. As soon as information about the entire matter was received, Kangra District Police Administration DSP Ankit Sharma had reached Ghurkadi. The angry youth were getting very angry over non-availability of petrol at petrol pumps in Kangra district. There was a huge traffic jam during the demonstration of angry youth at Ghurkadi Chowk. The angry youth also had a heated argument with DSP Ankit Sharma over not getting petrol. All the agitating youth have alleged that Kangra District Police Administration teams are unnecessarily baton-charging on massive protests.

On the other hand, DSP Kangra District Police Administration Ankit Sharma told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that all the tankers filled with petrol have been sent to Dharamshala, Palampur, Kangra and all other places. Petrol tankers were stopped by some angry youth at Ghurkadi Chowk. DSP Kangra Ankit Sharma said that he himself along with Kangra police station in-charge had reached the spot along with the police teams and after controlling the entire situation, all the petrol tankers have been dispatched.
