Pradhan Mantri Avas Yojna (Scheme) is a initiative that helps not so economically strong sector to get loans from banks to build their own houses.

In order to finally overcome such barriers our Honourable Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi, introduced Pradhan Mantri Avas Yojna.

Under this scheme,  the government provides subsidy upto 2.65 Lacs for loan from SBI, ICICI, HDFC,  Citi Bank, Axis Bank & other top home loan providers India within India at interest rate of 6.50% p. a. For a tenure of 20 years. It is targetted to be implemented until 31st December, 2024.

The benefits of Pradhan mantri Avas yojna is to provide a helping source through which the economically weaker section and backward Classes can get a home of their own.

To Know who are the beneficiaries of the Pradhan mantri Avas yojna see the list below:

  • Middle Income Group I (MIG I) : Income upto 6  Lacs p.m to 12 Lacs pm.
  • Middle Income Group II (MIG II) : Income upto 12 lacs to 18 lacs per annum.
  • Lower Income group (LIG) : 3 lacs to 6 lacs per annum.
  • Economically weaker section (EWS) :not more than 3 lacs.
  • Categories such as SC, ST and OBC are also included.
