India Prime Minister Narendra Modi penned a heartfelt letter to Star Player Sania Mirza after the tennis star take her retirement. Mirza played the last tournament of her career at the Dubai Tennis Championship.
Tennis Star player Sania Mirza on January 7 announced that she would soon retire from tennis. She played her last game as a Grand Slam at the Australian Open. She also played her last competitive tournament at the Dubai Tennis Championship this year. Sania Mirza, along with Rohan Bopana, reached the final of the Australian Open mixed doubles.
The 36-year-old Tennis star Sania Mirza shared the letter on her social media platform, from the Honourable Prime Minister and thanked him for his “kind and inspiring words for her”. She also added that she will continue to make her country proud.

Mirza is named as the Mentor of Royal Challengers Bangalore for the inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League. The winner of the Six Grand Slams and 43 WTA Titles said that RCB’s Philosophy is just like her vision.
Sania Mirza said that “It has been a pleasure for me to mentor the Royal Challengers Bangalore women’s cricket team in WPL 2023. Indian women’s cricket has seen a tectonic shift with the Women’s Premier League, and I am looking forward to being a part of this revolutionary tournament.
