Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, May 30Senior leader of All India Congress Committee and Chairman of AICC Media and Publicity Committee Pawan Khera, while addressing a press conference organized in the capital Shimla, has assured the entire media of the country that with his tireless efforts, efforts will be made to provide monthly pension to the journalists of Himachal Pradesh on the lines of other state governments.

Pawan Khera said that if a Congress-supported government is formed at the center, then the central government will also make a new pension policy for the journalists of the whole country,So that the provincial governments of the whole country can also get pension to the journalists impressively.

The entire promise was made by Pawan Khera while addressing a press conference organized at the Congress Bhawan in the capital Shimla in response to a question asked by Pawan Ashri, National President of Bhartiya Patrakar Kalyan Manch Registered, present at the Congress Bhawan, about providing comprehensive security to journalists along with giving impressive pension to journalists.

Pawan Ashri told Congress leader Pawan Khera that the Haryana government is giving pension of Rs 15,000 per month without delay to recognized journalists of 60 years or above. The Madhya Pradesh government is giving a pension of Rs 20,000 per month.

Pawan Ashri told Congress leader Pawan Khera that the Haryana government has also established the Haryana Patrakar Kalyan Kosh for the purpose of providing financial assistance to journalists who have been suffering from disaster or serious illness for the last several years, through which financial assistance of up to Rs 5 lakh is given to the concerned journalists.

Pawan Ashri also said that the Haryana government is also providing accident insurance of Rs 5 lakh to Rs 15 lakh to all the recognized journalists of the state at government expense.
