Himachal Pradesh Director General of Police Sanjay Kundu has warned the Government of Himachal Pradesh headed by Hon’ble Chief Minister Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu that the merger of Himachal Pradesh Police with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is a power headed by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. Informed about the decision to take up from the ministry and the merits of Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB).

Diarytimes (Shimla) Highlights – In Himachal Pradesh Police, Third Battalion, Pandoh, under the chairmanship of Himachal Pradesh Director General of Police Mr. Sanjay Kundu, the parade was successfully organized at the parade ground of Vishal Yudhdabal, as soon as it was completed, 145 ex-servicemen were honored in the presence of the Director General of Himachal Pradesh Civil Services Police, Himachal Pradesh. Along with induction in the police, 18 professional recruitment of Bandleaders were also included in Himachal Pradesh Police . All these constables were also given reservation for three months in Third Battalion Pandoh.

Diarytimes Bureau (Pandoh) Himachal Pradesh Police does not want to give security of Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) to Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) . For this, the Himachal Police has sent a letter to the state government urging them to show seriousness on this matter. Director General of Police Sanjay Kundu said this today in response to the questions of journalists after the passing out parade of newly initiated constables at Third Battalion Pandoh.

He said that since the construction of the project, the Himachal Police has been protecting the project for almost forty years.


Sanjay Kundu said that in this context a letter has been written to the state government urging it to intervene in the decision.

He said that even at present, the police is fully alert for its security, so this security should not be removed.

Sanjay Kundu told Diary Times in the press conference that since Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) was formed, Himachal Pradesh Police is protecting it, protecting it well and we had also written to the government that not only physical security watch and war intelligence but also law and order. Himachal Pradesh Police is doing it very well, so I had also written a letter to the government that you should take up with the power ministry and this system has worked very well and has been running for years and when there is danger in other states like Punjab and Haryana. The Himachal Police provided very good security to Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) projects, their installation and their personal, so we have written to the government to kindly take up with the Government of India and let the security provided by the Himachal Pradesh Police today continue.
