Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, June 10 :In two road accidents that took place in Theog Assembly and Rampur Assembly constituencies of Himachal Pradesh’s capital Shimla, one youth has died and eight people have been seriously injured.
In the first accident, a car suddenly went out of control and fell into a Jeek drain under Deha police station of Theog subdivision of Shimla district on Sunday evening, and the car driver has been reported to have died on the spot. The deceased has been identified by the Deha police station in-charge as Shubham, age 23, resident of Theog. There was no one in the car except the driver in the accident. The local people had informed the Deha police station in-charge after seeing the car number (HP 09 C-4277) fallen into the Jeek drain.On receiving the information, the Deha police station in-charge and his team reached the spot and took the body in their custody and the post-mortem is being done.
In the second tragic road accident, a tempo vehicle suddenly went out of control and fell into a deep ditch in Bajir Babli of Rampur subdivision, due to which eight people riding in the tempo vehicle were seriously injured, due to which the condition of all is said to be critical.
All the eight seriously injured in the tempo vehicle have been identified by the Rampur Police Station in-charge as Ajay, Rahul, Aditya, Saurabh Saklani, Saurabh Thakur, Alok, Vishal and Hrithik.The Rampur Police Station in-charge said that the tempo vehicle was being driven by a youth named Ajay.All the eight seriously injured have been admitted to Rampur Hospital.The tempo that was the victim of the tragic accident was going towards Nogali and all the eight people in the tempo had taken a lift from Patbangla. The condition of all the injured is said to be critical.An officer of the Shimla District Police Administration said that a case has been registered regarding both the road accidents and investigation has been started.
