Painful accident: Youth drowns in Tons river after getting trapped in swamp, dies on the spot

Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Ronhat, May 17An eighteen year old youth from Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh has become victim of a tragic accident while having a birthday party on the banks of Tons river, Because a young man of just eighteen years lost his life due to drowning in Tons river.

According to the information received from the police, the entire accident took place in Tons river of Laldhang in Sirmaur district when the youth had gone to the banks of Tons river to have a birthday party with his friends.

While partying, the young man had gone to take bath in Tons river and got trapped in the swamp and was swept away by the strong flow.His friends tried their best to save the floating young man but could not save him.After that, the SDRF was called by the police station in-charge passing near the Tons river, after which the SDRF team conducted a rescue operation and after a long time, recovered the body of the youth and brought it out from the Tons river.

The deceased has been identified by the police in-charge as Anurag Chauhan, aged eighteen years, son of Shyam Singh, resident of Kilaud village, district Sirmaur.

The police in-charge said that a case has been registered after taking possession of the body and investigation has been started.
