The third day of Himachal Vidhansabha budget session also started with uproar. The BJP MLAs raised slogans about the lockdown inside the House for some time and staged a walkout during the Question Hour. Before the question hour, the opposition demonstrated in a unique way by carrying chains and locks in the assembly premises.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Harshvardhan Chauhan brought a motion to condemn this conduct of the opposition. Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said that the BJP is not accepting that it has lost the election and is in the opposition. The bet of the opposition backfired on him.

On the censure motion, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Sukhu said that the previous BJP government had opened institutions without budget and misused the budget. The government will soon bring a white paper on this. The CM said that he would himself go to the assembly constituencies and see where the institute is needed. Colleges will be opened where there is a need.

Lockdown Should End

Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur said that the lock with the government has become such that it is not taking the name of opening. He said that this period of lockdown should end. That’s why a motion to stop work was brought in the assembly. This was discussed. We also participated, but the opposition is not satisfied with the answer given by the Chief Minister. He said that the opposition’s protest will continue in the coming days as well.

Question Hour in the Absence of Opposition

After the discussion on the censure motion, the question hour started for a while in the absence of the opposition. Today, for the first time in the three-day budget session, some questions have been asked in the House.

Economic Survey Report

Chief Minister tabled the report of Economic Survey 2022-23 in Sukhu Sadan. After this, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Col. Dhaniram Shandil placed the report of the CAG (Comptroller and Auditor General of India) in the House.

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Sukhu tabled the Economic Survey report of 2022-23 in the House today. According to the report, the per capita income is estimated to be Rs 2,22,227, which was Rs 2,01,854 in the last financial year. As a result, the per capita income increased by Rs 20,373 annually. Similarly, the growth rate is estimated to be 10.4% in the current financial year.

Power Project

In the House, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri will discuss the proposal to impose cess on the power project. after discussing it.

Demand of Policy in Favour of Animals and Crops

The third resolution is of Paonta Sahib’s BJP MLA Sukhram Chowdhary. In this, he will demand a policy in the House regarding the damage caused to crops by stray animals.

The fourth resolution is of Jhanduta BJP MLA JR Katwal, in which he will demand a policy to strengthen social and economic security and remove disparities under the identified constitutional provisions enshrined in the Indian democracy and welfare state.
