Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, March 26: NSUI workers demonstrated before the press conference of Rajya Sabha MP Harsh Mahajan and Congress rebel Ravi Thakur at Ashiana Restaurant on Ridge Ground in Shimla. Organization leaders including NSUI state president Chhatter Singh Thakur also raised slogans outside Ashiana restaurant. During this, there was a scuffle between BJP workers and NSUI workers. Seeing the atmosphere becoming tense, police had to be called on the spot. Police personnel removed the protesters. After this the press conference could begin.

According to the information, a blood donation camp was already going on at the Ridge Ground by NSUI on the birthday of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, due to which the workers were gathered there. Meanwhile, Ravi Thakur was holding a press bite outside Ashiana when NSUI workers climbed onto the terrace of Ashiana. Ravi Thakur had to leave the press conference and come inside Ashiana. After this, NSUI workers kept knocking on the doors of Ashiana and raising slogans. NSUI state president Chhater Singh alleged that the Congress party made Ravi Thakur an MLA. He was made the president of the tribal cell of Congress. Despite this, brokered and voted against the government in the Rajya Sabha elections.
