In Una district of Himachal Pradesh, the widespread effect of cold wave is being actively seen in both morning and evening hours. Keeping in mind the widespread impact of cold wave, Una district administration has taken an important decision to change the opening timings of all primary schools. The entire orders of DC Una are going to remain in force during the entire month of January. When the severity of cold subsides during the month of February, a decision can be taken again on the widespread impact of the cold wave. According to complete information, all primary schools in Una district will open at 10 am from Friday.

However, the closing time of all the primary schools in Una district is going to be 3 pm only. Due to which, the reduced time of half an hour in all the classes of primary schools of Una district is going to be compensated by reducing the time of prayer meetings and half the holidays.

The morning temperature in Una district is below five degrees Celsius. Amidst the widespread cold wave, it was becoming extremely difficult for the parents to send all the children to schools. Due to the widespread cold wave, children of many primary schools were lying ill. The number of children falling victim to cold, cough, viral fever and pneumonia was also increasing rapidly in all the hospitals of Una district. Recently, all the representatives of Una District Primary Teachers Association met Una District Deputy Director Primary Education Devendra Chand and raised the demand for change in the timings of primary schools. The decision to change the timing of primary schools was placed before Una District Deputy Commissioner Raghav Sharma by the Una District Deputy Director. After consultation with all the officials, an important decision has been taken to change the opening timings of all primary schools in Una district by one hour.

Una District Head of Una District Primary Teachers Association Rakesh Chandra Sharma and General Secretary of Una District Primary Teachers Association Satyendra Minhas told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that the entire decision of Una District Administration is welcome. Rakesh Chandra Sharma and Satyendra Minhas also said that it has become very difficult for all the small children of Una district to leave the house in the morning. Rakesh Chandra Sharma and Satyendra Minhas said that in many schools of Una district, parents of children were continuously demanding changes in the timetable.

On the other hand, all the parents were demanding leave for all the small children due to unfavorable weather conditions in Una district.

Una District Administration Deputy Commissioner Raghav Sharma told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that changes have been made in the timetable of all the primary schools in Una district. All orders are to remain in force during the entire month of January. Una District Deputy Commissioner Raghav Sharma said that all major classes will be conducted as per the old timetable. Also, Una District Deputy Commissioner Raghav Sharma said that further guidelines are going to be issued keeping in mind all the weather conditions of Una district in the coming month of February.
