Honorable Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Wednesday inaugurated the State Credit Seminar organized by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) for the financial year 2024-25.

The State Credit Seminar organized by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) for the financial year 2024-25 has been inaugurated by the Honorable Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Wednesday.

On the occasion of the launch of the State Credit Seminar, CM Sukhu has said that the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has approved the loan for agriculture and allied activities, MSME and all other industries for the year 2024-25 on the basis of available resources and banking structure in Himachal Pradesh. A credit potential plan of Rs 34,490 crore has been prepared for the priority sector, which is eight percent more than the previous financial year.

‘NABARD State Focus Paper-2024-25’ has also been released on the occasion of the inauguration of the State Credit Seminar by Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.

CM Sukhu has said that on March 31, 2026, Himachal Pradesh will become the first green state of India.

CM Sukhu said that complete provision for Green State is going to be made in the budget of Himachal Pradesh. CM Sukhu said that the present Himachal Pradesh government has launched Mukhyamantri Swavalamban Yojana, Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture, Mukhyamantri Laghu Shopkeeper Kalyan Yojana, Mukhyamantri Green Cover Mission, Mukhyamantri Rojgar Sankalp Seva, Mukhyamantri Vidyarthi Yojana for the socio-economic upliftment of the people. Many welfare schemes like Chief Minister Startup Scheme etc. have been started for the upliftment of the people of Himachal Pradesh.

CM Sukhu has urged all the banks of Himachal Pradesh to extend their active support in providing loans for proper implementation of all the public welfare schemes of the Himachal Pradesh Government so that the farmers, gardeners and youth of Himachal Pradesh can avail the benefits of all the welfare schemes of the Himachal Pradesh Government & All farmers, gardeners and youth of Himachal Pradesh can progress in our life by taking more benefits from it.

Normal credit flow in seven districts of Himachal Pradesh a matter of concern –

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that under all the guidelines issued by the Reserve Bank of India on priority sector credit flow, no district of Himachal Pradesh falls in the category of ‘credit deficient’ districts. CM Sukhu said that although the credit flow is normal in all these districts of Himachal Pradesh, the loan and deposit ratio of Himachal Pradesh is only 36:39 percent.

CM Sukhu has said that the loan to deposit ratio in Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Kangra, Mandi, Una, Lahaul-Spiti and Chamba districts of Himachal Pradesh is continuously falling below 40 percent, which is a matter of greatest concern. CM Sukhu stressed on the need for banks and other stakeholders of Himachal Pradesh to take necessary steps to increase the credit and deposit ratio in Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Kangra, Mandi, Una, Lahaul-Spiti and Chamba districts.

CM Sukhu also said that NABARD is going to play the most important role in making Himachal Pradesh a self-reliant state.

Process to convert 3000 diesel buses of HRTC Board into e-buses started –

On the occasion of the inauguration of the State Credit Seminar, CM Sukhu said that Himachal Pradesh has also not remained untouched by climate change, and many beneficial steps have been taken by the Himachal Pradesh government to stop climate change as soon as possible. CM Sukhu said that Himachal Pradesh government is promoting green industry and e-vehicles are being encouraged on a large scale throughout Himachal Pradesh, so that carbon emissions in Himachal Pradesh are reduced and dependence on fossil fuels is also reduced.

CM Sukhu said that the Transport Department of Himachal Pradesh is the first transport department in India, in which e-vehicles are being completely used.

CM Sukhu said that with this, the entire process of replacing 3000 diesel buses of HRTC with e-buses in a phased manner has been started and tenders have also been invited for 1300 e-buses.

1200 youth have so far participated in the application process for purchasing e-taxi in Himachal Pradesh –

Honorable Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that under the first phase of Rajiv Gandhi Self-Employment Startup Scheme of Rs 680 crore, e-taxi scheme has been started in Himachal Pradesh, along with this, for e-taxi, e-taxi scheme has been started in Himachal Pradesh. 1200 youth have applied so far.

CM Sukhu said that under the Rajiv Gandhi Self-Employment Start-up Scheme, the Himachal Pradesh government is providing 50 percent grant for the purchase of e-taxi. Besides, e-charging stations are also being established in Himachal Pradesh for smooth operation of e-vehicles. 17 e-charging stations are being established on the Green Corridor from Kiratpur to Keylong in Himachal Pradesh and e-charging stations are being established in the entire Himachal Pradesh.

CM Sukhu said that the operation of e-vehicles for environmental protection is a reflection of the thinking of the Himachal Pradesh government, that is why the purchase of petrol and diesel vehicles in all the government departments of Himachal Pradesh has been banned with immediate effect from January 1, 2024.

Exploitation of solar energy is also being given priority on a large scale in Himachal Pradesh –

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that the exploitation of solar energy is also being given highest priority by the Himachal Pradesh government.

CM Sukhu said that a 32 MW capacity solar power project is being set up in Pekhubela in Una district of Himachal Pradesh, which is going to be ready in the coming month of February.

CM Sukhu said that Himachal Pradesh government is going to provide finance for setting up solar energy projects for unemployed youth in the second phase of Rajiv Gandhi Self-Employment Start Up Scheme.

CM Sukhu said that through the Solar Energy Scheme, the unemployed youth of Himachal Pradesh will be able to set up 100 KW, 200 KW and 500 KW solar power centers on their land and the Himachal Pradesh government will purchase electricity from all those unemployed youth for the next 25 years. This will be done so that all the unemployed youth of Himachal Pradesh can get fixed income.

CM Sukhu said that apart from this, a project of 1 MW capacity is also going to be set up with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) to generate green hydrogen in the entire Himachal Pradesh. CM Sukhu said that the entire tender process for green hydrogen has been also started.

The entire rural economy of Himachal Pradesh will also be strengthened –

CM Sukhu said that in the coming time, Himachal Pradesh government is also going to implement schemes to strengthen the rural economy and serious efforts are also being made to promote natural farming in the entire Himachal Pradesh.

CM Sukhu said that recently the purchase price of milk has been increased by Rs 6 by the Himachal Pradesh government.

CM Sukhu said that along with promoting agriculture on the lines of industry, the Himachal Pradesh government is also making efforts to promote dairy based industries in the entire Himachal Pradesh.

CM Sukhu said that a state-of-the-art milk plant is being set up at a cost of Rs 250 crore in Dhagwar in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh.
