Mother’s love: In Himachal, a mother sacrificed her life to save her son, died due to electric shock
Una, 01 July: A migrant woman died a painful death due to electric shock in ward number three of Santoshgarh Municipal Council of Una district of Himachal Pradesh. The deceased woman has been identified as Urmesh Kumari wife of Rajesh Kumar resident of Mojalpur, district Badaun, UP, who was living in ward number three of Santoshgarh Municipal Council with her family for the last 12 years. On the other hand, the police team reached the spot after receiving information, took the body of the woman in its custody and sent it to the regional hospital for post-mortem.

Santoshgarh police station in-charge said that on Monday morning Urmesh Kumari was present in her room in Santoshgarh ward number three. During this time Urmesh Kumari’s 13-year-old son was connecting the wire to the cooler. During this time the son got an electric shock. Seeing the electric shock, the woman saved the child, but the woman herself fell on the wire. The woman died on the spot due to electric shock in the accident.
He said that Urmesh Kumari used to sell peanuts in Santoshgarh market with her husband and she has left behind 2 sons and a daughter.
In the entire case, ASP Una, Surendra Sharma said that Santoshgarh police station in-charge has taken the body of the deceased woman Urmesh Kumari into custody and sent it to the regional hospital Una for post-mortem. Along with this, the case has been registered and investigation has been started.
