Kangra – In the election of Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Municipal Corporation Dharamshala, the ruling Congress party has finally won and captured the Mayor seat of Municipal Corporation Dharamshala. Neenu Sharma has been elected as the new mayor of Dharamshala Municipal Corporation.
This year there has been a tough competition for the election for the post of Mayor and Deputy Mayor in Dharamshala Municipal Corporation.
Between the ruling Congress party and the BJP, both the parties had received equal number of nine votes each.
Also, in the election of Deputy Mayor of Dharamshala Municipal Corporation, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Tejendra Kaur had received ten votes while the Congress Deputy Mayor candidate had received eight votes.
Neenu Sharma becomes the new mayor of Municipal Corporation Dharamshala –
The ruling Congress party has once again won the elections held for the post of Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Municipal Corporation Dharamshala.
Neenu Sharma of Congress Party has taken over as Mayor of Municipal Corporation Dharamshala and Tejendra Kaur of Bharatiya Janata Party has taken over as Deputy Mayor.
Tejendra Kaur from Bharatiya Janata Party won as Deputy Mayor by ten votes, while on the other hand, Congress Party candidate got eight votes.

In Municipal Corporation Dharamshala, a tough competition was seen between Congress and BJP candidates for the post of Mayor and Deputy Mayor, due to which both the parties got nine votes each for the election of Mayor candidate.
In the Municipal Corporation Dharamshala elections, the decision was taken by slip after Congress and BJP candidates got nine votes each.

Earlier, to protect themselves from the burglary activities of the ruling Congress party, all its BJP councilors were sent to Palampur in Kangra district.
All the councilors of Bharatiya Janata Party were made to stay in a hotel in Palampur in Kangra district in the presence of all the senior leaders of Himachal Pradesh BJP.
Along with all the councilors, BJP MLA Vipin Parmar, BJP MLA Pawan Kajal and BJP Himachal Pradesh General Secretary Trilok Kapoor were also present in a hotel in Palampur.
Also, before the election of Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Municipal Corporation Dharamshala, all the BJP councilors were brought to Dharamshala.
