Mandi to Vikramaditya And Hamirpur Seat Handed Over To Deputy Chief Minister, Election In-Charge Appointed On 4 Seats
Himachal Pradesh Congress General Secretary Organization Rajneesh Kimta said on Sunday that Vikramaditya Singh has been given the responsibility of Mandi, Chander Kumar has been given the responsibility of Kangra, Mukesh Agnihotri has been given the responsibility of Hamirpur and Rohit Thakur has been given the responsibility of Shimla parliamentary constituency.
Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, March 17: Himachal Pradesh Congress President Pratibha Singh has appointed election in-charges for the parliamentary constituencies of the state, Mandi, Kangra, Hamirpur and Shimla for the Lok Sabha elections. Along with this, party leaders have also been deployed for publicity, publication and administrative work. Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri and five cabinet ministers have been entrusted with the responsibility of these seats. Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh has been made election in-charge of Mandi seat. Vikramaditya Singh mother Pratibha Singh is the outgoing MP from Mandi seat.

Congress has not yet announced its candidates on all four seats. It is believed that the high command will announce the four candidates in a day or two. Recently, the State Congress Committee had invited applications from party leaders on all four seats. About 40 leaders from across the state have expressed their desire to contest the elections. The top leadership of Congress is brainstorming on winning candidates.

After the disqualification of six Congress MLAs, the Congress high command is not in favor of giving tickets to any sitting MLA. Former MLAs Sohan Lal, Dayal Pyari, Kaushal Mongata and Amit Nanda are in the race for the ticket from Shimla Lok Sabha seat. The names of former MLA Satpal Raizada from Hamirpur seat, former minister Asha Kumari from Kangra seat and outgoing MP Pratibha Singh and former minister Kaul Singh Thakur from Mandi seat are being discussed.
