Mandi News: Sardar Patel University’s campus in Sundernagar will be renovated with Rs. 20 crores.
Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Mandi, April 09: The campus of Sardar Patel University located in Sundernagar of Mandi district will be renovated at a cost of Rs 20 crore.Recently, it has been decided to spend the grant of Rs 20 crore which Sardar Patel University received under the Higher Education Campaign on strengthening the campus of Sardar Patel University located in Sundernagar. Pro Vice Chancellor of Sardar Patel University, Professor Anupama Singh said that Sundernagar campus will be strengthened with a grant of Rs 20 crore. Lab, library and reading room with modern facilities will be built there.

Some courses from Mandi will also be shifted to the campus of Sardar Patel University located in Sundernagar, which includes some PhD courses including Industrial Chemistry and Environmental Science. To start these courses in Sundernagar, modern infrastructure will be developed there at a cost of Rs 20 crore. Although the university also wants to start some more courses but permission is awaited from the government for the same.

Four Buildings Were Built During Cluster University –
Let us tell you that before the formation of Sardar Patel University, a cluster university used to operate in Mandi under Himachal Pradesh University, under which buildings were constructed in Sundernagar, Basa, Mandi and Padhar. These buildings were still not being used properly. But now after the university has been built in Mandi, these buildings have started being used. Until the university campus is completely constructed, many of the university’s activities will be conducted in these buildings.
